We’ve just returned from an incredible weekend at Ceramic Art London, and we’re still buzzing with inspiration. We are truly overwhelmed by the interest and lovely conversations we had about the crystalline process.
A Warm Start at the Private View
Things kicked off on Thursday evening with a fantastic Private View. It was such a pleasure to catch up with old friends and familiar faces in the ceramics community. We really enjoyed chatting with Rosa Wiland-Holmes and Keith Brymer Jones,
Sharing Our Crystalline Journey
One of the highlights of the show for us was sharing our experience working with crystalline glazes. It’s a uniquely difficult and unpredictable process—but that’s part of what makes it so rewarding. We had some amazing conversations with fellow potters and enthusiasts who were curious about how we achieve the different surface finishes.
Celebrating the Ceramics Community
We met so many wonderful makers throughout the weekend—both new faces and friends. The sense of community was incredibly strong, and we feel lucky to be part of it.
Some of the fantastic ceramicists we spent time with include:
- Rich Miller – always a delight and full of insight
- Tony Laverick – a familiar face from the circuit whose work is always stunning
- Caroline Egleston – her wall art is bold, joyful and full of colour
- Valerie McLean – our lovely stand neighbour whose work was a real showstopper
- Paul James – exquisite porcelain bowls with beautiful form and detail
- Gaby Guz – contemporary sculpture with real presence and elegance
- James Hake – functional stoneware that’s earthy and beautifully made
- Kate Windibank – her intricately textured sculptures were a hit with visitors

Finally, a massive thank you to the organisers of Ceramic Art London for putting on such a brilliant event. Whether you’re a collector, fellow maker, or just curious about the ceramic arts, this is a show worth putting on your calendar every year.
